I'm a big Dean Koontz fan even though I think his older books are much better than his newer ones. This book was kind of a dissapointment because it really dragged until the very end. This was also the first time I'd read one of his books and really did not like the main character. The last few chapters is where the brilliance of his writing shines through as he brings everything together. I'd recommend this book to Konntz fans, but hesitate to recommend this one to someone who hasn't read some of his other books.
