Fifth in the series with Flavia de Luce, an 11-yr-old minor prodigy in 1950s England. When she hears the church of St. Tancred is going to dig up its patron saint, Flavia is determined to be in on the action. And so she is, tumbling into the crypt only to find the corpse of the missing organist. How did he get there, and why? This is tailor-made for Flavia's investigative talents and expertise in chemistry, not to mention her talent for coming home covered in mud. A big event at the end foretells something dramatic for her home, the mansion Buckshaw. I still find Flavia so amusing, combining a child's gullibility with the knowledge of a master chemist, and then of course there is her passion for poisons.
