This book is an account of an abused child told from his point of view. It illustrates very clearly the disordered thinking that is typical of child abuse cases and underlines that despite the abuse, children still love their parents and just want to go back to when it was good again. It is a terrific story of a child's recovery from child abuse and is valuable for adults and young adults alike. It can facilitate compassion and understanding for foster children and abused children that are being "mainstreamed" into public schools. Very important book and a very important topic that needs to be talked about.
