Although the storyline of people caught up in a bizarre and sinister video game, in one way or another, has been used several times before, David Morrell has taught an old dog a new trick with "Scavenger"
Once again, Frank Balenger finds himself entangled in a situation beyond his understanding. He is faced with having to again rescue Amanda from a madman. As they search for a time capsule, they are forced to become characters in an insane video game with real people as the players.
When I started "Scavenger" I thought I was not going to enjoy it. But I was quickly turning pages and reading at a furious pace, almost unable to put it down!
This book is a quick read which keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way through. I highly reccomend this book for anyone interested in this genre.
