This book is not great literature, but I found it very enjoyable and upbeat in tone. Some of the incidents that are related are ones that will stick in my memory in a good way.
The book left me with a good feeling, and I have only one complaint about it. It ends with a huge teaser: "I had no idea that within a month I would receive some terrible news--news that would shatter me, my family, and my future." What a way to end a book! It seemed like an unkind trick, leaving the reader up in the air.
Well, that teaser got me to order the next book in the series, and it seems to me now that the word "shatter" is a bit strong. It was more a case of "could have shattered, but didn't," thanks to the author's following what he saw as the Bible's leading, as well as good advice from his friends. But I will not give away the secret here.
