By all indications, I should love this book. I read a lot of Nancy Drew as a kid, I enjoy spoofs, I like humorous mysteries, etc. The reviews on it were all excellent.

I didn't.

I just couldn't get into it.

It wasn't bad, per se, it was just...boring. I have a vague interest in knowing the outcome of the "mystery" or at least why Nancy Clue killed someone...but not enough to slog through the rest of the book.

While I remember somewhat relationships showing up in Nancy Drew, I never noticed the clothes--while I know this one will over-emphasize anything---it's pulling out a part of the original that rings no bells for me, which makes it trying and not amusing.

It's just..eh.
