Absolutely fascinating story about the courageous and independent women divers on the Korean island of Jeju! The story focuses on the friendship and families of two women divers but also tells the history of this island through World War II and the Korean War. This is not a subject matter that I was familiar with but found myself swept away by this thrilling and captivating historical novel. Highly recommend this one.
