I wanted to like this book. The premise was interesting, but I could not like the main character, Anna. She was rude, self-absorbed, and had no concept of friendship toward those she called friends. I felt sorry for the pianist, though lacking some social graces himself. I could not imagine anyone wanting to be around this Anna, and by the end, I just really didn't care. There are far better books to be read.
