Setting is Rhode Island. Beatrice Hartley and her friends were in a collision on a deserted road one year ago. Her boyfriend, Jim, died. A mysterious man tells them that one of them will live and the rest will die. They need to vote on who will live. Decision vote must be unanimous. They are stuck in the Neverworld Wake where the accident is repeating daily just like Groundhog day. The book is a YA book with many genres; magical realism, science fiction, psychological suspense. Unique characters and plot. I loved her book, Night Film, and I own Special Topics and need to read that soon. Recommended for those who love YA.
