No doubt about it, bounty hunter Stephanie Plum has man trouble. Her on-again, off-again relationship with Det. Joe Morelli is currently off, and she's made a tacit agreement to have a wild encounter with the mysterious Ranger. Currently, however, the most deadly man in Stephanie's life is Eddie Abruzzi, a psycho businessman and war-games fanatic.
Stephanie ran afoul of Eddie when she agreed to help her parents' neighbor Mabel Markowitz locate her granddaughter Evelyn and great-granddaughter Annie, who have gone into hiding. Mabel might lose her house because it was used as collateral in a custody bond. Evelyn's ex-husband, who also owes money to Eddie, is angry and threatening. Suddenly everyone is looking for Evelyn the big question is, why? When live snakes and spiders and dead people turn up in Stephanie's apartment, she knows she's in deep trouble. This will teach her to do a favor for a neighbor!
Stephanie Plum is really in a pickle this time! Just when you think that the adventures of Plum and company can't get any funnier or more convoluted.
