This is a ghost story, no doubt about it. The characters are ghosts and the witches are both good and evil. The tale revolves around Jenna, a teenager who died too early, as she mourned the death of her sister. Believing she caused her sister's death she runs into a violent storm and drowns. When she awakes she finds that to join her sister she must earn her way to the natural date she was to die. A compassionate person, she volunteers for a crisis line to help people facing tragedy find a way to continue their lives. It's a slow process but she finds it rewarding. Rewarding, that is until other ghosts who, like her, are trying to find a way to join those who have gone before them. They have disappeared.

As she searches for answers, she finds a witch who has trapped the unlucky ghosts in mirrors, originally to extend her own life, discovering that she can sell the mirrors to others who want to extend their existence. Jenna, too, becomes trapped but finds a way to escape.

The plot and the concepts prjected in this tale are creative and the read is an easy one. All in all it's light and enjoyable little book.
