Imagine having Talents in our world - people whose extrasensory skills can heal others, find lost objects or project emotions that affect those around them. This is the basic theme of this extraordinary book.
Henry Darrow creates an institute to protect those with such skills, help them develop and use their skills to help others. Of course, there are those who would use some Talents for personal gain, revenge or other nefarious purposes. And, some of the Talents in this novel encounter such individuals.
This is the first book or prequel to the author's Rowan and Damia series, also good reads that take the reader into a different life. I like McCaffrey's work. She writes very well and the stories are entertaining and fun to read. This one is a good science fiction read.
