Nightlife was the 1st book of Perry's that I read. I totally completely got wrapped up into it from the 1st page. Perry keeps the story moving, and develops characters very nicely. He has this knack of getting you into the head of more than one character at a time, a skill that John Sandford is really good at, as well. This tends to really keep you involved in the story, and at the same time, you're never quite sure which side you're on. Another Perry trademark - is the ending really the end? What just happened? With this technique, Perry is very good at keeping you thinking about what you just read, long after you've finished it. Perry is special. I ended up liking Nightlife so much, I have gone back and I'm in the process of reading every thing he's written. His Jane Whitefield series are especially good.

Nightlife, and more Perry books, come highly recommended, do enjoy!
