I adore the Broken Hearts series so was excited to read this collection of "humorous" short stories. Um, yeah, sort of? The first 4 shorts are not terribly interesting nor humorous and have a completely different tone than the series.
He Said, Sidhe Said was pretty fun and I kinda wish it were longer and included the scene that caused the intervention.
The Warrior and the Maiden is a solid fairy tale, short, bedtime story told by Lorcan.
Soul Shifter is a bit more tragic & serious but sets us up really wanting to see more of Ash.
Tax Not the Zombie was cute.
This Werewolf Walks Into a Dentist's Office... was probably my fave, but I'm biased as I love Damian. This one was quirky and had that same feel as the series.
Wish Upon a Zombie is the longest and the only one that has any hints at romance and the steaminess we get in the usual series but really just in comments then the scene changes to another couple so no skinamax type lovin'.
Definitely worth the read although it does start out slowly, the last few stories make it worthwhile.
