A rather silly but fun historical romance.
Without reiterating too much of the back cover information, boy and girl accidentally find themselves naked in bed together. Surprise he's a duke, surprise she's the niece of an Earl. He volunteers to "do the right thing" and immediately marry her, she's lukewarm to the idea. Most of the book is them circling closer together, slowly resolving her various reasons for holding him at bay. All tied together with a rather melodramatic subplot of danger and foul play.
The main characters are fairly cute and sweet together. Historical accuracy almost entirely absent. The author hasn't researched much about the Regency era: she has couples dancing holding each other in every dance, not just the waltz, and every other dance is a waltz. Society matrons immediately accept an untitled, unsophisticated American into their stratosphere. Society matrons tell same girl that she deserves to "have a good time". I have never gotten the idea that anyone cared about young women having a good time in that era.
The villain was a cartoon he was so bad. The resolution was predictable and pat. The sensuality in the book was almost entirely absent. For a book with "naked" in the title, it was very tame.
Overall, OK but probably not reading more from this author. Lack of detail and research about the era was too distracting and disappointing.
