This was a pleasant surprise since it didn't have many reviews. I am glad I discovered it. Most enjoyable for me were the often humorous portrayals of various famous historical personages (Oscar Wilde, for example -- in addition to the James siblings, of course). A general familiarity with the time period should suffice to 'get' the references.
