The Perfect Play was a very enjoyable read, filled with romance, sex, more sex, more sex and more sex. I enjoyed the chemistry between single mother Tara and hot football player Mick Riley. Tara is an event planner struggling to raise her son all by herself while Mick is a famous athlete adored by millions and living a jet set, bachelor life. I thought this book was good but there are way too many sex scenes. It almost seemed forced, as if the author was trying to make it a sex-athon. Tara supposedly hadn't had a relationship (or much sex) in 15 years yet she is so sexually aggressive with Mick and way over the top in terms of her language. That was kind of annoying, although the good outweighs the bad. Mick seemed kind of perfect so I was happy that the writer had him harboring a secret. Tara was a bit insecure but overall they were a strong, hot couple.Good, solid read. Not for those who don't enjoy heavy sexual scenes...and I do mean heavy. Not your standard sex scenes. Erotica at times.
