I read some reviews both good and bad. I encountered a story with genuine insight into the workings of a period piece. A playboy who makes up his mind to put some work into something at long last and a relationship a bit frustrating because this is one of the type of romances where the two characters fight-themselves, each other and the romance-till almost the end. I found the charachters are loving...the story is witty, funny and romantic...with all this rolled up together it made for one heck of a good read!
