I must be honest. I requested this book because there were 1000 books available, and I figured that I'd win one. As far as topics of a book go, I'm not interested in Vegas, Models/Actresses, or Africa. The only thing that called to me (besides the 1000 books available) was that the male lead was a mob boss. All that being said, I really enjoyed this book.
I loved the parts in Africa, Kenya specifically. The descriptions were so beautiful. They made me open to the idea of wanting to visit there one day. For someone who has NEVER had an interest in going there, I think that is pretty amazing writing.
Also surprisingly, the mob boss part of the story was minimal, and didn't really hold my interest. I was very drawn by the mystery that surrounds the plot. Typically, I don't like stories that jump around in time, as Stay Another Night did. But about 2/3 of the way through, I decided that there would have been no other way to tell this story.
Overall, I'd say this is a good book. I'd recommend it, probably would lean more towards a 'plane read' rather than anything else. I'm glad that I won and read it.
