I am really annoyed with myself that I actually paid money for this piece of garbage. It didn't take me very long into the book (less than 10 pages) to realize that this wasn't what I'd hoped for in a paranormal romance/erotica novel. The writing style was very early high school quality (you know--the kind that 7th graders put out when attempting a creative writing course). I guess I'm just the type who prefers something that is actually written well and not just thrown together so it can sell because a certain genre is popular. The characters are shallow, flaky and spout corny dialogue often. The lead character, Allie, just doesn't have a clue and is ignorant of the life she's supposed to embrace due to a promise to her mother, which makes the story and plot very unbelievable. I gave this thing almost 50 pages before I had to stop or I'd throw it across the room and ruin the book itself (Hey! I do want a PBS credit for it at least!) Someone else might enjoy this, but I thought it was a bunch of crap.
