A beautiful love story.
Dayan may not be the in-your-face-domineering personality like his fellow Carpathians , but he is equally as enthralling and all together, overwhelming.
The only thing I didn't like was that Corinne had been married before, which kind of clashes with the one love per life concept, but that's just a personal preference. Something different about Dark Melody--the main threat to Corinne wasn't a vampire or hunters, but a heart condition made worse by her pregnancy. The meeting of Darius and Gregori, of course, was thrilling too--but I'm a sucker for those two.
But the best part of this story, in my opinion, is the very real connection between Dayan and Corinne at first sight, and the yearning each must endure until they can save her. It's that type of angst--bittersweet and almost desperate--that makes the heart ache so sweetly.
One of my favorites.
