After ditching her cheating fiancé and going on her honeymoon alone, Sofie goes to work for her uncle's detective agency. Her assignments include following a cheating wife, investigating a vampirish neighbor, and finding a nasty mutt. Anna Fields's naturally low-pitched voice is perfect for conveying Sofie's feistiness and self-deprecating humor and morphs well into the denizens of her mostly Greek neighborhood, as well as the Aussie man she craves. Most notable are the guttural tones employed for her well-meaning but clueless mother. Sofie's habit of conversational asides to herself adds to the listener's enjoyment. When the action picks up, so does the pace.
