Once again, I loved this Mrs. Jeffries. The characters are to treasure, the mystery is good and it's just plain a cozy to relax and enjoy. The characters are so enjoyable, they just keep getting better all the time and to split the story into segments of what they are doing is great fun. You get a chance to see where they go and what they do. Mrs. Jeffries management of Inspector Witherspoon is a wonder of great writing. The Victorian time was a wonderful time anyway, even with the way women were treated and the funny business that went on. It keeps growing all the time. Samson is such a character and is truly spoiled rotten. I have one just like him, pure black and he weighs in at 20 lbs. Of course he only gets cat food in this day and age. Anyway, I just plain enjoy
these books, I've read them all and just wish for more.
