Beautiful young Diana St. Aubin is at the mercy of Jared Talent, Earl of Burnleigh and he has none. It is a pretense that Diana can barely tolerate, but it is even more clear that her protests and pleas have no hope of moving this lord who always gets what he wants, whether it is a woman to satisfy his need for a false fiancee, or his growing desire.
