This book was a little disturbing to me. At it's core is spousal abuse, a man who totally controls his family and lets no one interfere. It's about two sisters who were once so close, who banded together, who's father was abusive. About one sister who tries to save another and spends time in prison. It's about their relationships and one sister's daughter. It's about how people cope with what's going on around them.
