I was disappointed in this gathering of paranormal stories. Hannah Howell's Highland Blood was excellent but the other two stories were boring and predictable.
Hannah Howell does for vampires what she did for Highlanders! Incredible heroines and gorgeous, sexy, manly Scots. Yummy! Not knowing what Osgar is, Adeline Dunbar adopts him and then must deliver him to his people since her people are trying to kill him and by default, her. She is rescued from the hunters by Lachann MacNachton, a vampire looking for strays. He tries to fight the attraction because mating with humans never works but he is steadily succumbing to the temptation.
I love Alexandra Ivy's Guardian of Eternity series but this story is tedious. I disliked Victor from the start and Juliet's token protests were obviously false. The only character I liked was Levet the gargoyle. He was funny and made the story bearable.
I was unimpressed with Immortal Dreams by Kaitlin O'Riley. A story of the reincarnation of a proper English widow. Grace is henpecked by her mother-in-law and too timid to even stand against her. She is definitely no match for a vampire. I was bored from the first chapter and it just didn't get any better.
