This book takes a different view than most books on Freemasonry. The author doesn't talk about the "Conspiracy Theories" or "Evil Secret Society" that most books tend to talk about. He talks about the symbols and rituals that the Freemasons use. He tells of it's history and shows numerous examples through artwork. I don't know if the author is a Mason but after reading the book I would say so. He is very intimate on the subject. He breaks down the 3 levels of initiation rituals and explains what they stand for as well as the symbolism of the different Masonic items (hammer, square, compass etc). He makes Freemasons sound more like a Fraternity or brotherhood just like most College Fraternities. They are more into spiritual and psychological growth through their three virtues (Hope, Faith and Charity) than in dominating the world. The book is full of different masonic artwork. Definitely a good book for anyone interested in the subject.
