Love this author and this series! Alan "Frisco" Francisco almost dies on a mission. He fights his way back and regains his ability to walk, but will never again run or be an active duty SEAL. The SEALs were his dream since age 11 and he doesn't know who he is without his occupation. Forced to care for his 5 year old niece, he needs to rely on his neighbor, Mia, a feminist, pacifist, and optimistic teacher. Against all odds, they fall in love. Great action sequences as well because a drug dealer tries to use the niece as a hostage. That allows us a glimpse of the SEAL team in action.
