This is a slow building story, as the reader gets to know each character. By the time the story builds, I was invested into Nat and Paul's lives. Story has good insights into a different time, military life and the small community of families. It had much less to do about the reactor disaster, as it did with domestic issues. Book received in goodreads contest with expectation of fair/unbiased review
