He tells the story with 11 (more or less) biographies (yes, I can count beyond 11, it's just that he combines some biographies. Besides Lenin and Gorbachev, there are same that you don't run into every day. The ones I read, like Attlee, were rather sympathetic, even though the author is an ex-socialist, and is considered a neo-conservative, at least in foreign affairs.
