I'm glad to have finally read this book. If I knew what an easy read it was, I would have read it sooner. Holden Caulfield is flunking out of prep school and is depressed and ready to have a breakdown. He spends 3 days in New York City because he just can't go home yet. His experiences make this book a timeless classic. The story is told in first person stream of consciousness and is a good example of just how stressed out teenagers can get. If you haven't read this book, you need to read it soon.
