As a person who has only had a chance to hike 50 miles on the Appalachian Trail, and who really wants to go back there, I can only say WOW! Lucy and Susan (or Isis and jackrabbit, their trail names) have written a tremendously fun look at the life of an AT through-hiker. Heading southbound from Maine, the sisters got to know each other better, learned to deal with cold, critters, and injury, and met a great cast of hiker friends.

If you can read this and not want to hike the AT, I will be very surprised. Enjoy!
