After reading a review about Alex Cross following a killer to Africa; I decided to read the book in spite of it. I wish I wouldn't have. I've always been a fan of Patterson's books especially those with Alex Cross. A D.C. Detective following and tracking a killer in Africa was too unbelieveable. The book could have been just as effective with serial killers in the U.S. In the future I hope Patterson stays with entertaining novels without trying to make a statement of what is happening in foreign countries.
