The story of the spies that the British either turned or recruited to send the Germans false leads has been told in other books, but never as completely. These agents helped lead the Germans down many false roads, but they were especially essential in concealing the actual spot for the invasion of Europe and keeping the Germans occupied awaiting another invasion which never took place.

I learned new information to add to my knowledge of the "secret war" that took place in WW II. I especially liked the British plan to discredit the German messenger pigeons (yes, pigeons) by infiltrating British messenger pigeons into German pigeon coops. What lengths we'll go to to win a war. :-)

This one's a keeper on my shelves.
