This book started so slow I could fall asleep while reading! Three unexciting main characters alternately narrate the story. I plotted on anyway because I loved Ms. Kubica's The Good Girl and figured something exciting had to come about.
The second part turned around and finally I was interested and stimulated by the events.

Poor Alex. He was the only character I liked and felt sorry for. He was a good son, stayed at home to care for his father who turned to drink after his wife left him. Alex did not deserve what happened. Very sad finale.
