I love Theorin's writing...when I'm reading one of his books I feel as though I'm actually transported to Oland. This is the third in his quartet, and a few of the characters resurface, but it would not have been necessary to read either of the earlier books. In this book, Per Morner is the son of a porn kingpin and spends much of the book trying to track down his father's ex-employees to make sense of what happens to his father. There's a story line that involves belief in elves and changelings, and another plot line related to Per's daughter. The only thing that keeps this book from being a 5-star was that Per's actions didn't always make sense to me. He was estranged from his father as the book began, and why he spent the length of the book trying to figure out what happened to his father made no real sense to me.
