I usually love Grisham stories, even the non-legal fiction (A Painted House, Playing for Pizza). This book just had a mixed up message and not very likeable characters. Was there a hero or villain? The actions of all the parties were always too extreme for the circumstances. I ended up skimming the last 20 pages looking for a conclusion so I could put it down.
Oh well, his next one will be worth it.
