This is the 14th book in the series. I would highly recommend starting from the beginning.

Caerphilly is having a bad year; the mayor has taken off and left the town in debt. The bank is closing in and is going to take over the whole town. Meg needs to find a way to save the town she loves and her home.

I did not find this story as engaging as her others. I felt she focused too much on the activities in town. The usually family funnies were not there either. I look forward to meeting her family and their eccentricities.
