Good Hope Road was an excellent book. BUT read book #1 (Tending Roses) FIRST. Then read The Language of Sycamores (book #3) and finally, book #4 "A Thousand Voices". It follows the lives of two sisters who have deep issues between them as well as the life of Dell, a severely neglected little girl. She found in every book. Book 4 completes her story and theirs. *** Family, forgiveness, faith and hope are the main themes of this series.
