Author Christopher Rowley continues his Netherworld Series with part 2 "The Bloodstained Man". Detective Rook Venner continues his 'off the books' murder investigation, except now he's on the run along with the clone Plesur. Everyone's after them, the body count keeps increasing, and Rook's not stopping for anything or anyone.
The series has everything you'd expect from a short hop into the future US of A. Not a pretty picture (future wise), but lots of high tech, clones, killer drones, politicans gone wild (and man do they have the POWER). There's good cops/bad cops, a military that operates off the books, FBI gone robo, implants, upgrades, brainwashing - on and on and on. Fast paced story that keeps you turning the pages. Just what I would expect from HEAVY METAL PULP.
Be sure to get and read the 1st book "Pleasure Model" (Netherworld #1), as well as the 3rd and final book "Money Shot" (Netherworld @3). All three books are pulp fiction at it's best - reading for the shear fun of it!
4-1/2 Stars outta' 5 for just fun pulp fiction reading...
