Really enjoyed this book. Even though there wasn't a lot of action there was a lot of story. The story surrounds the main character, Enid. From there we learn about the past before "The Fall" and before Enid was born. It tells us how the present world came to be. Then there was sections of Enid's past. These sections give us more of an idea on how Enid came to be. Last, we have the present which tells what is going on at that time in Enid's life.
I found the whole make-up of the new world fascinating and wanted to swallow it all up. The character building was nicely done as well. Definitely going on to the 2nd book.
