Charlotte takes care of her aunt and handicapped sister. She has to work to provide for them and has been working for a newspaper company as a secretary. She wants to actually work on writing articles but her boss has not allowed her to. He decides he has a special assignment for her and will allow her to write for the paper if she does it well. She takes on a governess job to watch a professor who has been writing a Christian column that has been questionable to many, but powerful nonetheless. She needs to find incriminating evidence to tear him apart to see that he is not the saint they believe him to be.
This was a nice sequel and I did shed tears while reading parts of it, but it wasn't as strong as the first story. They did bring in the first story's two main characters a couple of times in this story briefly. It was well told and enjoyable.
