In reference to the other faerie and fantasy stories out there, this one was okay. The author had strong characters, but the prose wasn't strong enough to allow the characters to shine through. I felt author intrusion within the words too many times.
Altogether, it's an interesting read but disappointing telling. Personally, I think the book would have been magnificent if it was written as a play, rather than in novel text and format (you'll only understand that as soon as you've read it).
So if you're looking for a tale on faeries, than get it. If you're looking for a stimulating book, don't. Altogether 3/5 stars.
