At first, I was very excited to see the story continue about Trev and Katie Trevelyan (from THE MAIL-ORDER BRIDE). However, the story was very ordinary and I had a problem understanding why a cautious, serious 32 year-old would be interested in 20 year-old Annie Trevelyan.
Annie seemed absorbed in herself and immature. Even after multiple attempts on her and Colins (Laddie) lives, she continued with her plan to run away from the finishing school and find a job with a touring company of actors.
Why Colin paid for the second part of the journey (from Reno to San Francisco) in the fancy Pullman car (when there were plenty of seats in the train) didnt make sense.
The story wasnt that interesting, even though the premise of the book caught my attention. It was delightful to see Trev and Katie again 10 years after the last story.
