This is an interesting book for lovers of historical mysteries, think Patricia Cornwell or Kathy Reichs transported back to the time of Henry II. The technology didn't exist at the time, of course, so you end up learning more about historical events and the society of the time than you do about forensic medicine. Not as taut a mystery as the best, but still very enjoyable. I plan to continue with the series.
