Simon grew up with a father who made him feel ignorant and unworthy of being Duke of Hastings because of a speech problem. His father abandoned him to the country and had nothing else to do with him... but Simon works hard and becomes a much sought after man determined never to marry to spite his father... until he meets Daphne Bridgerton...

I absolutely love all the Bridgerton's and of course Lady Danbury with her cane... my heart cried for Simon... how can a parent treat a child that way... great read, couldn't put down.
