Really helpful for anyone currently buying mature California reds. Good history of the winerys and vineyards, especially some of the hard-to-finds. Gives good perspective on who has been there, working the land and developing the style of craft wines from California, and who are the johnny-come-lately's. Great look-up tool for winery info and specific AVA's.
