"A fascinating allegory which personifies the attitudes of mind, heart and temper that often hinder a Christian's journey to the 'high places' which represent unity with Jesus Christ. Contained in the allegory are the lessons of accepting and triumphing over evil; of becoming acquainted with grief and pain and, ultimately of finding these trials transformed into something of value; and of learning through constant glad surrender to know the Lord in a new way and to experience unbroken unity with him.
