Helpful Score: 3
It's the simplest, plainest way to say it. You have no heart and no soul, if you can read through this book and not be so completely moved by it.
It is a story of a family who are bruised and tortured by the cancer that is killing the middle daughter, and it is their collective story of trying to survive it without each other, and with each other. Jodi Picoult has always taken on the stories that other authors are afraid to, and she will always, always make you think, and will help you truly experience what families in struggle are going through. Do not read this book in public, because you will end up crying in front of people.
