3rd and final in a series, this is a romantic suspense, with most of the book concentrated on the suspense aspect. This is okay as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend reading the series in order.

Mason Callahan, Detective and Ava McLane, FBI Agent get involved in a mall shooting. Ava and a friend just happen to be at the mall when a masked man calmly walks down the corridors taking out people with his shotgun. He wanders into a restroom and takes his own life. There had been another mall shooting some months before with the same results.

While the police are trying to identify victims and shooter, there is yet another mall shooting...and another young man shoots several people and then takes his own life.

When they start trying to connect the victims, the puzzle only gets bigger .... and it becomes much more dangerous for Ava.

This is light reading for me ....... and Kendra Elliot is one of my favorites when it comes to Romantic Suspense. The characters are caring of each other.. and they speak for the victims. Mason is an old-fashioned cop with a strong sense of duty. Ava is on the brink of a breakdown, but strongly stays connected to the case.

Again, I would recommend reading Vanished and Bridged before reading this one.
